Non GMO Yellow corn for animal feed

Corn is a grain imported from Ukraine. It is a high-energy feed. Corn contains more energy than other feed grains due to its low crude fibre (2.9% DM) and relatively high fat content (4.5% DM).

The metabolic energy content of one kilogram of dry matter is 14 MJ when fed to cattle, the respective numbers for pigs and poultry are 16 MJ and 15.5 MJ. Corn gets its yellow colour from the carotenoid pigment cryptoxanthin. Animals are able to use it to synthesise vitamin A. Corn’s main nutrient is starch, which makes up 70% of the kernel’s core mass.
